Our Early Years programme provides a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel safe, valued and excited to learn. Through purposeful play, exploration and strong relationships, children develop essential foundations in communication, early literacy, mathematics, physical development, expressive arts and emotional wellbeing.
Inspired by Montessori principles, our classrooms encourage children to make choices, care for their environment and become increasingly independent. Teachers thoughtfully balance child-led discovery with carefully planned, adult-guided learning, ensuring every child receives the support and challenge they need.
Children are given the time, space and encouragement to explore ideas, develop independence and experience the joy of discovery.
HOW CHILDREN LEARN

In Early Years, children learn by exploring, experimenting, imagining and interacting with the world around them. Every experience is thoughtfully designed to develop knowledge, confidence and independence.
Explore
Children investigate materials, follow their curiosity and learn through hands-on experiences both inside the classroom and outdoors.
Understand
Through stories, conversation, observation and adult-guided activities, children begin to make sense of new ideas and build essential early concepts.
Create
Art, construction, music and imaginative play give children opportunities to express their ideas, solve problems and bring their thinking to life.
Care and Take Action
Children learn to care for themselves, one another and the natural world through daily routines, shared responsibilities and meaningful choices.

Seven areas of learning, one connected journey
Our curriculum follows the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), a globally respected framework that nurtures every child's potential.
PRIME AREAS
These areas are fundamental, supporting children to thrive and build a strong foundation for learning.
Communication and Language
Children develop their confidence in listening, understanding and expressing their ideas through conversations, stories, songs and imaginative play.
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Children learn to understand themselves, manage emotions, build positive relationships, build relationships and develop positive attitudes.
Physical Development
Movement, outdoor play and hands-on activities help children develop coordination, strength, spatial awareness and the fine-motor skills needed for writing.
SPECIFC AREAS
Building on the Prime Areas, children develop early skills in literacy and mathematics while discovering the world around them and expressing their ideas through art, music, movement and imaginative play.
Literacy
Children develop a love of stories while building early skills in phonics, reading, mark-making and writing.
Mathematics
Children explore number, pattern, shape, space and measurement through practical experiences and meaningful problem-solving.
Understanding the World
Children investigate nature, communities, cultures, technology and the world around them through observation, questions and discovery.
Expressive Arts and Design
Art, music, movement, construction and imaginative play allow children to explore ideas and express themselves creatively.
