In Years 3 to 6, children deepen their knowledge, discover their strengths and develop the confidence, character and sense of purpose to shape their world.
KEY STAGE 2 AT LIS
Where growing minds find their purpose
Key Stage 2 is a time of significant academic, personal and social growth. Children deepen their knowledge across the curriculum while becoming more independent, thoughtful and confident in expressing their ideas. They learn to question information, consider different perspectives and apply their understanding to increasingly complex challenges.
At LIS, learning extends beyond academic achievement. Through inquiry, Social and Emotional Learning and Education for Sustainable Development, children strengthen their relationships, develop a clear sense of responsibility and discover how their knowledge and actions can contribute to positive change.
Children grow into knowledgeable learners, compassionate leaders and capable changemakers who are ready to make a meaningful contribution.

In Key Stage 2, children take increasing ownership of their learning. Clear teaching and purposeful practice are combined with inquiry, collaboration and meaningful opportunities to apply knowledge in new and challenging contexts.
Question and Investigate
Children develop thoughtful questions, gather information and investigate ideas using research, observation, discussion and practical experiences.
Think and Connect
Children analyse information, make connections across subjects and use evidence to explain their ideas and form reasoned conclusions.
Collaborate and Create
Children consider different perspectives, share responsibility and use their learning to solve problems, develop projects and communicate creative ideas.
Reflect and Take Action
Children learn to care for themselves, one another and the natural world through daily routines, shared responsibilities and meaningful choices.

A broad world of learning
Our Key Stage 1 programme develops secure foundations in English, Mathematics and Science while providing children with a rich and balanced curriculum.
Learning is grounded in the National Curriculum for England and supported by Cambridge Primary frameworks.​

No two days are exactly the same, but each day combines purposeful academic learning, hands-on inquiry, creativity, movement and meaningful opportunities to develop independence.

A Positive Start
